Bluff City Coders is a software consultancy for industrial and right-size packaging automation — development, systems integration, and commissioning, from requirements collection to FAT, SAT, and go-live.
End-to-end ownership of industrial software — from the first conversation to deployed, maintained systems.
.NET/C# applications for industrial machinery and business-critical systems — designed, built, and maintained for years, not sprints.
Making machines and business systems talk. Integration projects covering the machines and the hardware and software around them, with a focus on clean, reliable data exchange.
Hands-on commissioning of right-size packaging machines and complete integration projects — requirements collection, system design, factory and site acceptance testing, go-live.
SQL Server and Docker-based database work — migrations, modernization, and the infrastructure that keeps production systems running.
SAST, DAST, SBOM generation, and vulnerability management — getting industrial software ready for EU regulatory requirements.
Web applications that automate the startup of new machines, monitor them in the field, and track their performance over time.
Bluff City Coders is the consultancy of Michele Marostica, a software engineer based in Memphis, Tennessee. Since 2019 he has worked at the intersection of software and machinery: developing the software that runs right-size packaging lines, integrating it with the systems around it, and commissioning complete projects on-site.
Before going independent, Michele spent five years at an Italian packaging-machinery manufacturer, responsible for the complete life cycle of its software products — after earlier work in machine vision and agricultural robotics research at the University of Padova, where he earned his Master's degree in Computer Engineering.
The common thread: taking a problem from the first conversation to deployed, maintained software — and being just as comfortable on the production floor as in the codebase.
Tell me about the machines, the systems around them, and what needs to happen. I'll reply within one business day.
